Terms of use

These terms cover your use of HeroApply - the website, the browser extension, the mobile app and the applying we do from our own servers. By creating an account or using the product you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use HeroApply.

Who can use HeroApply

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You may only use HeroApply to apply for jobs for yourself.

You authorise us to apply for you

HeroApply fills in and submits job applications in your name, using your resume, your saved answers and your settings. By turning it on you authorise HeroApply to do that for you: to search for jobs, to fill in and submit application forms, and to answer the questions on them, on the job boards and application sites you choose, from your browser or from our servers.

You are responsible for what is sent

Applications are sent automatically, usually without you seeing each one first. The agent - including its AI - decides how to answer each question from the information you gave it, and it can get an answer wrong: it can misread a question, pick the wrong option, fill in a best guess where you left no answer, or write an answer that is inaccurate or out of date.

You are solely responsible for every application submitted from your account and for everything in it. That means keeping your resume and saved answers accurate, complete and truthful, checking the application record in your dashboard, and setting your job titles, locations and other settings so the agent applies only to roles you would accept. If you find a wrong answer, correct it in your profile so it is not sent again.

To the fullest extent the law allows, HeroApply is not liable for any incorrect, incomplete, misleading or unsuitable information submitted in an application, whether it came from you or was chosen or written by the agent, nor for an application sent to a job you would not have chosen, nor for what an employer does as a result.

AI output

Parts of HeroApply use AI - to match you to jobs, to answer application questions and to suggest resume changes. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or generic. It is not career, legal or immigration advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

No promise of a job

HeroApply is a tool that saves you time. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, replies, or any number or kind of results, and we are not an employment agency or recruiter. Employers make their own decisions, and we have no influence over them.

Job boards, employers and other sites

HeroApply works on job boards and employer application sites that we do not own or control. They set their own rules and may change their pages, reject or never read an application, or be unavailable. Some of them do not allow automated use in their terms of service, and may restrict or close an account they believe is automated. You use HeroApply on those sites at your own risk. We pace activity to reduce that risk; we cannot remove it, and we are not responsible for what those sites or employers do.

Plans, trials and billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Cancel any time in your settings; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Paid plans are charged when you subscribe and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Fees are non-refundable, including for applications already submitted and for partly used periods, except where the law requires a refund.
• We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and do not share your account. You are responsible for everything done with it. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

What you may not do

• Use HeroApply to send information you know to be false, including about your qualifications, experience or right to work.
• Use it to apply on behalf of someone else.
• Try to break, overload, copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use it for anything unlawful.

Ending access

You can stop using HeroApply at any time and ask us to delete your information. We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, if you do not pay, or if we stop offering the service. The sections on responsibility, AI output, no warranty, limits of liability and indemnity continue to apply after access ends.

No warranty

HeroApply is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including that it will be accurate, fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free. Job boards change their pages, applications fail, and the agent can misread a form.

Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, HeroApply is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss - including lost job opportunities, lost earnings, damage to your reputation with an employer, or action taken against your account by a job board. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.

Indemnity

You agree to cover HeroApply for any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from the information in your applications, your breach of these terms, or your breach of a job board’s or employer’s rules.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things we cannot reasonably control, such as outages at our suppliers, changes made by job boards, or attacks on our systems.

Changes and contact

These terms will change as the product does; the date at the top is when they last did. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use HeroApply afterwards means you accept it. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Questions go to support@heroapply.com.
