HeroApply is a job application assistant. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. It is written in plain language on purpose.

If you only joined the waitlist

We store your email address and which form you used, and nothing else. We do not send you anything yet — there is no mailing system connected to this site. When access opens we will email you once. You can ask us to delete the address at any time using the contact details below.

If you have an account

An account is currently invitation-only. When you have one, we store:

• Your email address, used to sign you in.
• Your resume — the file, and the text and facts read out of it.
• Your profile answers — the details you save so applications can be filled in as you.
• Your job search settings — titles, locations, how selective to be, daily limits.
• A record of every application the agent considered or submitted, and the answers it gave.
• Diagnostics from each run, so we can tell why something failed and fix it.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. It reaches three other companies because the product could not work otherwise:

• Supabase stores the database and handles signing in.
• Cloudflare serves this website.
• OpenAI receives the text of your resume, once per version, so we can work out which job titles and skills to match you against. It is not used to write your answers — screening questions are answered from your own stored details, never generated by a model at the moment of applying.

Separately, when the agent applies to a job it sends your details to that employer through the job board you chose, in the same way as if you had filled the form yourself.

Cookies

We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept while your account exists. Waitlist addresses are kept until launch or until you ask us to remove yours. Ask us to delete either and we will.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@heroapply.com from the address you signed up with and we will act on it.

Changes

HeroApply is in private testing and this notice will change as the product does. The date at the top is when it last changed.
